Ampere-Hour
Generally speaking, Ampere-hour is a unit of electric charge transferred by a single flow of current per hour. It's the transfer rate of electric current when charging a battery from a source at the steady rate of one amp per hour.
Battery Capacity
It refers to a service test of electric output of a cell or battery on how long the cell or battery can keep working until its potential energy is used up. The consumption rate is expressed in term of ampere-hour, watt-hour, or similar units. The product of ampere-hour and battery voltage gives the watt-hour (Watt-hour = Amp-hr x battery Voltage).

Battery charger is a device used for supplying electrical energy to a battery for charging purposes.

The rated capacity which is expressed in ampere-hours at a particular steady discharge current (where 'i' is the number of hours the cell can provide at a unit current). For example, a C5 can give a single unit of current in five hour (5) period of time. Generally, cells differ in rates of use, mostly higher than C5 and lesss than C20.
Cathode
Cathode is the electrode through which electric current flows out of a cell.
Constant-Current Charge
Charging of cells at a steady flow of current. In order words, it's the charging of cells while maintaining current flow at the same rate. For some types of lead-acid battery, starting and finishing rate varies.
Constant-Voltage Charge
It's the charging of cells at the same rate of voltage, throughout the charging process.
Cycle Life
Cycle life is the maximum number of counts of which Secondary rechargeable cells or batteries can be recharged. A rechargeable cell looses its potential after reaching certain total number of charging and can be disposed. Generally, the cell or battery is considered to be useless when the cell or battery shows approximately 80% of ampere-hour capacity ratings.
Internal Resistance
Internal resistance is the measure of its opposition to the flow of an electric current within the cell or battery.
Parallel Circuit (connection)
A closed circuit in which the current divides into two or more paths before recombining to complete the circuit. In a parallel circuit, the voltage across each of the components is the same, and the total current is the sum of the currents through each component.
Rated Capacity
The maximum capacity for which a cell is designed, measured in ampere-hour of current per hour delivered at specified conditions such as rate of discharge, end voltage, temperature. These ratings are mostly provided by manufacturers.
Series Circuit (connection)
A circuit in which all parts are connected end to end to provide a single path for current. In a series circuit, the current through each of the components is the same, and the voltage across the components is the sum of the voltages across each component.
Short-Circuit Current
It refer to the situation at which a low-resistance connection across a voltage source (cell) or between both sides of a circuit or line, usually accidental and usually resulting in excessive current flow that may cause damage.
